June 16, 2016

Pioneering artist Corita Kent (of The Corita Art Center, Parham Santana client), has been awarded the prestigious 2016 AIGA medal. This distinguished award is given to individuals in recognition of their exceptional achievements in the field of design.

A self-taught master of silkscreening, Corita "was about meeting people where they are," says Ray Smith, Director of the Corita Art Center. "Consumer culture was the language they could understand, so that's what she used. It was about finding joy in the everyday."

Recognized for her rebellious spirit as an artist and educator, her visual messages of peace and social change still resonate today. Click here to read more about the award.

Parham Santana, the Brand Extension Agency, is the official licensing agent of the Corita Art Center. For licensing opportunities, please contact Maruchi Santana at maruchi@parhamsantana.com.
